4. Micelles will help in the absorption of lipids in the intestinal lining, allowing the fatty acids to be taken up the intestinal mucosa and converted into triacylglycerols.
5. These triacylglycerol are now combined with cholesterol, phospholipids and apolipoproteins forming CHYLOMICRONS.
6. Intestines is the ORGAN responsible for the synthesis of chylomicrons.
7. Chylomicrons are formed in order for the fat content to be utilized as a source of energy.
8. Chylomicrons moved through the lymphatics, blood streams then tissues.
9. Chylomicrons carrying large amount of triglycerides needs lipoprotein lipase ( LPL) that will convert these triacylglycerols into fatty acids and glycerol. This allowing your body to utiloze it as a source of energy. short length prom and formal collections
10. BUT if not used as a source of energy, they will be converted back into triacylglycerol and stored in a lipid droplet (or simply -- fats!)
